NEW TOOL NOT FEATURED – Check out Ventoy as it is very easy and works on any OS – https://www.ventoy.net/en/index.html
DISCLAIMER: There are multiple ways to do Multiboot but I picked YUMI because I need Windows, Linux, and Utilities all within a single USB drive. Many other utilities I found just didn't accomplish this task. YUMI was the best for using both Windows and Linux based systems. I just wanted to showcase you can use some Windows tools like YUMI on Linux without issue.

I can only boot windows and linux isos in legacy mode not uefi for some reason from ventoy, any idea why this is? Tried to google the problem but got no answer.

i used to use YUMI a lot. it worked for most of what i needed when i needed to live boot without breaking something. then i found Ventoy, and it has been basically the same, only slightly less hassle.

This is a great tool. But I found it more time consuming than easy to boot. It can be only in my case though.🤦‍♂️

I recommend you try Easy2Boot – I've been using it for over 6 years and it my feeling is that nothing else still comes close to it as far as functionality and robustness goes. There is a learning curve if you want to use all if it's advanced features but it's actually very easy to set up for basic use.

There is one problem with YUMI – you need to use fat32 partition to create multiboot USB. But if your windows 10 iso takes more than 4GB (and it does), you can't add that iso to multiboot, because fat32 is restricted by 4GB single file maximum.

Wow, this video is so far behind the times. YUMI has been around for years and it's limited to what is had on it's list (which is, admittedly, a lot) but it's got some installers that are buggy. Ventoy is, i admit, a pretty cool but it (also) has some buggy features with certain types of ISOs as well. Neither are perfect but as far as time and effort goes (even GUI) Ventoy is superior. YUMI has been building up it's inventory for a long time and really had the wind taken out of it's sails when Ventoy came along.

You can take a look at Ventoy (ventoy.net)
    * Works on Linux/Windows
    * Drag and drop different ISOs
    * Opensource

What do you think about Ventoy.net? You install it on a flash drive and just copy the ISO onto the drive, then just boot and pick the ISO from the menu. Also you can use it as a normal flash drive too.

i recommend ventoy just install drag and drop the iso files, finish now u can boot and install your new OS

Ventoy – just came across it
An open source tool to create bootable USB drive for ISO files, you don't need to format the disk again and again, you just need to copy the iso file to the USB drive and boot it.
Both Legacy BIOS and UEFI are supported in the same way

The iso file install only 5 mb in my USB out of 4.9 gb of the windows iso. i tried yumi and woeusb both only install a few mbs on my usb. The usb is empty, i tried with NTSF and FAT32, also get this…An error (1) occured while executing syslinux. Your USB won't be bootable .
Ive been trying to fix this for the last 3 days never thought making a bootable USB on Linux would be so annoying, i hope anyone can help…sorry about my english i hope is understandable

The easiest way I do is to make multiple fat32 partitions on my flash drive & then flash different ISOs using unetbootin into different partitions (ex. sdc1, sdc2, sdc3, etc.)
Then you can boot into any partition in the same way as you do inside uefi boot manager (f8)

    nice ScreenSaver,
    is that ZMatrix_NT?
this one was great when i used it on XP with code Emulating any image set as your Wallpaper,
was like a code style "Dot Stippling" effect but now it wont allow the icons and takbar up top.
if anyone knows how to mod it for recent day use,
i'd highly reccomend ZMatrix as it is open source but i'm not much of a coder

Hi Chris. I regularly watch your channel. Great job!! I'm not a Linux expert though I love it and use it since Ubuntu 5 as just a desktop/laptop user ( so not a coder or hacker here…). I usually have my live USB sticks , Yumi is great, but I don't understand why when I try on a distro with persistence it's so slow, VERY SLOW. I like having my USB and use it on any computer I have to use for that day and keeping all my environment settings and wifi passwords. What can be the problem?
