Who els is looking for a video for the summary of Enders game because you didn’t understand the book. Also to write an essay for school
The enderdragon was probably an alien
you guys are such dorks
i actually like xenocide iam gona start with children of the mind in a few weeks.. people dont like it.. hmm why?
My fav is Enders game and Shadow of the Hegemon
i thought the movie was okay but i didn't really care for the high treason at the END (see what i did there) when he took the bug egg and what happened with that weird kid who he fought in the shower did he die or did he live needs to be explained
I started read Ender's Game two yrs ago and continued w/ the Shadow. I like Ender's Game much more (maybe b/c that gave me such a strong impression of how smart Ender was).
Check out some of the other comments. We had a little discussion with some other folks about just this topic!
Xenocide and Speaker are my favorites.
Ender in Exile is actually a really new entry into the "Ender's Saga" books. People wanted to know what happened to Ender after Ender's game, but before Speaker. That is Ender in Exile.
My preferred reading order.
There is the Ender's Saga (or (The Ender Quintet), which is as follows;
Ender's Game, Ender in Exile, Speaker for the Dead, Xenocide, Children of the Hive Mind
Then there is the Shadow series (which follows Bean, before and after Ender's Game). They are as follows;
Ender's Shadow, Shadow of the Hegemon, Shadow Puppets, Shadow of the Giant
There are other "side" story's, or story's that happen during the events, or prequels. Don't bother with those.
I read Ender in Exile shortly after Ender's Shadow, which really elaborated on the period of time after the final battle. It was very enlightening (?).
I don't understand all this boycott nonsense. If I didn't read a book, watch a movie or TV series because I didn't like the religious, philosophical,or political views of anyone involved I'd never read or watch ANYTHING. There is probably something about the actors in the movie I wouldn't like. I don't want to know. I'm not interested in their private lives. All see the movie because I read the book. What the cast or staff are like outside the film I don't care, not relevant to the movie.
Speaker of the dead and xenocide are very different from ender's game. I believe the best way to read them would be Ender's Game then Ender's shadow. and from there you can decide whether to keep reading ender's path or bean's path (Bean is the main character of Ender's shadow). Definitely try both and then decide. Those 2 are my favorite books
It's only a 'spoiler' if you've read the books. If you haven't read the books, it just looks like part of a big battle sequence.
I read Ender's Shadow right after Ender's Game. It gives you a really interesting "two sides of the coin"-type of view of Ender's game. I'd recommend Speaker after that. -Diana
Xenocide is my fav
You have to read Speaker for the Dead. It's one of the best scifi works of secular humanism there is. Which is, obviously, totally ironic given Card's political views. He doesn't hate homosexuals mind you, I can't believe someone who actually hates a population of his fellow countrymen can write something like Speaker, the man and the book might seem antithetical to one another. I think he takes his Mormonism way too seriously, like most Mormons, but he made the mistake of being vocal.
I read Speaker for the Dead next, which is the next published novel in the series, but it depends on your desired experience. Publication order (Speaker, as mentioned)? Chronological order (Ender's Shadow and War of Gifts are concurrent, Shadow of the Hegemon is next after the events of Ender's, and Earth Unaware is the first of the prequel novels. It's up to you! -Michael
So what i wonder is,in what order are you suppose to read these books? I just bought enders game today.so what comes next? Enders shadow?
